Unless otherwise stated, Locara and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on Locara (excluding the raw geographical data which is public domain or sourced from open data projects). All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may access this from Locara for your own personal or commercial use subjected to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.

You must not:

  • Sell, rent or sub-license material or API access from Locara
  • Reproduce, duplicate or copy the API infrastructure
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or reverse-engineer the API endpoints
  • Share your API keys with unauthorized third parties

2. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

Locara provides API access according to the tier you are subscribed to. We enforce rate limiting to ensure the stability of the platform for all users.

  • Free Tier users are limited to 3,000 requests per month per API key.
  • Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 Too Many Requests errors.
  • Intentional abuse or DDOS attempts will result in immediate permanent account termination.

3. Data Accuracy and Liability

While we strive to ensure that the geographical data provided by our API is as accurate and up-to-date as possible, Locara does not warrant its completeness or accuracy; nor do we promise to ensure that the website remains available or that the material on the website is kept up to date.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to our website and the use of this website. We will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature arising from the use of our API data in your applications.

4. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
